Cat and Peter hug!!!
His poor arms can’t hug back. Fittingly the effect of his curse has gotten worse and worse over time as I have more fun drawing big thick club arms.
What’s Fire Good For? by =jameson9101322
In an earlier incarnation Joshua’s name was Bastian. He also had pentagrams on his hands and much lighter skin. He was still finding his feet back then - very much a plot driver but not much of a personality. This image still reflects the man that exists in the story even if his visage is a little outdated
Threadcaster: The heroes by *jameson9101322
The image I drew upon completion of draft1. The characters are left-to-right;
The Fire Curses Ildri and Aiden, Joshua, Cat, Peter and Jared the Earth Curses, Zephyr the Wind Curse and Lynn the Water Curse
And I drew Uzzah. He’s not really in Threadcaster but he’s important. He’s holding a paintbrush and dyed that bit of his hair black himself. It was a very unusual thing to do at the time…he’s from the past but he doesn’t care what normal people think, he thinks he’s better than that.

Late night Threadcaster painting.
Here is another character I haven’t drawn yet. This is Georgia, another Earth Curse. She’s the oldest Earth Curse alive… save for Peter of course (He’s an exception because he’s been cared for instead of exiled)… and is not a nice person generally. She’s very strict, controlled, and soft-spoken. A strange contrast to Peter who’s so open and inviting.

Illustration of Cat and Peter when they were kids playing Cat’s Cradle. This might be the last innocent moment they have before Peter finds out about his terminal illness. This is a moment when two friends think they’ll be able to play this way forever.
