Okay, its not my best, but I was in class, can you blame me? My goal was really just to make them recognizable…
Self criticism aside, GO JEN! YOU CAN DO IT! Publishing a book is a pretty cool (and really big) deal. I look immensely forward to reading it!

Thanks SQT!! You’ve been really encouraging, especially this weekend. I won’t forget the little peptalk you gave me, and I’ll keep it handy the next time I start feeling down.

Pete’s grateful for the appreciation but he’s not quite used to this level of blind fangirl. Lynn thinks its cute.. or funny… or both, it’s hard to tell.

This is Peter from Threadcaster, the next in my iPad character series.
Peter is what’s called an Earth Curse, a man slowly turning to stone from the inside out. The world of Threadcaster is afflicted with a terrible series of illnesses that afflict innocent children at random, dooming them to die as either earth, fire, wind, or water. It’s rare for any Curse to live past the age of 18… Pete here just turned 17. He’s looking pretty good, considering. Most Curses are shipped off to isolated slum towns upon diagnosis. Thankfully, Mason Forge is small and secluded, so Pete’s been allowed to stay.
His Curse causes calcification of his bones and tissues. He looks like a bruiser, but he’s actually very fragile. Any injury he sustains, from a punch or blow to accidentally knicking a doorframe, will swell and transform to solid stone. Over time, the wear on his joints and limbs have caused a sort of elephantitis that limits his mobility and dexterity. The elastic bandages help protect the joints from further damage and ease the constant ache.
Peter’s a pretty good sport despite his condition. He’s acutely aware of this limited lifespan, but prefers to keep his concerns hidden behind shrugs and jokes. He is devoted to his best friend, Cat, who is his constant helper and companion. He’d be content to live the rest of his life by her side and intends to do just that…
Just fyi, if anyone has any questions about Threadcaster, its world or its characters feel free to drop me an ask! The box is always open. If you’d like to recieve in-character responses, address the ask to a particular person, otherwise, I’d be happy to talk your ear off about Threadcaster until kingdom come :)

Don’t mess with Peter. Cat will harm you.

Writing at Kaldis today… or at least I’m trying to. Various degrees of success. I think I’m about to hit a stride though!

I’m depressed today so I decided to draw something lighthearted and fun, but it became the most tragically ironic thing ever.

Writing at Kaldi’s. All I had on me was a silver gel pen… which is extraordinarily bad for drawing on napkins. Have Peter smirking at grumpy Aiden, anyway. Aiden’s dealing with a lot of heavy emotions… he expresses it by pouting and hating everything.
